REFEREE AND SCOREKEEPER TEST INSTRUCTIONS

USAV Referee Test Website Instructions
Referee Test: Once you are at the test website, select “2007-2008 USAV Volleyball Theoretical Exam – Form A On-line Test” All referees must take test Form A. The site will take you directly you to a form to fill out your personal information and referee rating along with an ID and password before you begin the test. After providing this information you will be directed to the test.
Personal Information and Referee Rating
On the form, you will need to fill in your name, address, phone number, email address. You will also need to select your rating level. If you do not know your rating level, you can find it on the Badger Region website by selecting the Volleyball Officiating tab and then selecting Referee List from the drop-down menu. If you are a new referee or under 18, please select the "Not Yet Certified" as your referee rating.
Id & Password:
Jr. National & National Referees only - You must register and use your USAV ID and password.
USAV ID = firstnamelastname [all one word]
Password = the last 4 digits of your social security number).
Test results for Jr. National and National referees will be sent automatically to Kathy Ferraraccio, AVP USAV National Referee Commission.
All other referees:
Login ID = guest Password = guest
USAV Region and Password
Select Badger Region for your USA Region. The Badger Region password for the referee test is: BGD278 After all information has been entered, select Submit Information. This will take you directly to the test.
Taking the Referee and Test
Answer all 50 test questions. After completing the test, submit the test by selecting "Submit Answers". The test will be automatically corrected and you will receive your results automatically via the email address you provide. For the referee test, a copy of your answers will also be emailed to the Referee Chair (jvoeck@attglobal.net).
Making Corrections
The email you receive with your test score will also indicate which answers you got wrong. These questions must be corrected and include a rule reference. The email will indicate that you need to send the referee test corrections to the Referee Chair (jvoeck@attglobal.net Note: Jr. National and National referees are no longer required to send corrections to USAV but are still required to send them to the Badger Region Referee Chair.
After you have completed the test corrections satisfactorily, the Referee Chair will notify you when your test requirements have been completed. The assigner (Jim Momsen, BadgerOfficialsAssigner@yahoo.com) will also be notified that you have completed your test requirements in order to be able to officiate for the 2007-8 season.
You must complete your test requirements prior to officiating any events sanctioned by the Badger Region. All referees must complete the referee test by February 15, 2008 and have corrections completed by February 15, 2008.
Scorekeeper Test
To take the scorekeeper test, click on the following link: http://yankee.org/scorers/usavtest Once you click on the link, you will be directed to the test site. Select "on-line" test under 2007-2008 USAV volleyball Theoretical Exam form C. The Badger Region Password is BGD278S. You can find detailed instructions under "Scorekeeper Certification" section of this web page.
