What is High Performance? USA Volleyball developed the High Performance Programs as a tool for identifying athletes with potential to become future National Team Members. This National Program has 3 Divisions (updated for 2008): Select: Boys: Born in 1993, 1994 and after Girls: Born in 1994, 1995 and after Youth National: Boys: Born in 1990, 19911 and 1992* Girls: Born in 1992 and 1993 Junior National: Men’s: Born in 1989 and 1990 Women’s: Born in 1990 and 1991
Information on the National Program is on the USAV web page, www.usavolleyball.org. *This age group was updated on 3/28/08. USAV is allowing this change in the FIVB age definitions for this year.
What is the Badger Regional High Performance Program?This is our own region's program dedicated to giving our state's top athletes an opportunity to train together under some of our regions best coaches. Badger Region will host a regional training camp for Select and Youth National athletes. We will select 24 females from each of the Select and Youth National Level and 12 males in the Select and 18 males in the Youth National Level. The Top 10-12 athletes from the Boys Camp and Girls Camp will be invited to participate in the USAV 2008 National High Performance Championships in Tuscon, AZ July 23rd through July 27th.
