Badger Region, a membership association, is the premier authority for the sport of volleyball in the State of Wisconsin in order to provide an avenue for players, club directors, coaches, and officials to achieve excellence.

Act Quickly To Advertise In The 2010 Badger Region Camp Directory!
The Badger Region office receives a tremendous number of requests for camp and clinic information. In an effort to distribute this information more effectively and to fundraise for our junior initiatives, we have created a 2010 Badger Region Volleyball Camp Directory. Our 2009 directory was a huge hit with our membership (9,000+) and our advertisers. This year’s Camp Directory will feature information on volleyball camps and clinics held throughout the Midwest and informative articles written by volleyball professionals. Call for Nominations
The following positions on our Badger Region Board of Directors are up for election:
Treasurer (must have current board experience)
North East Rep (must be active in NE Wisconsin)
Southeast Rep (must be active in SE Wisconsin)
Badger Region Board meets quarterly. Self nominations are accepted and encouraged.
Nominations can be submitted to Jen Armson Dyer in the region office or Franco Marcos, Board Nominating Committee. Nominations need to be submitted no later than February 22nd.
USA Volleyball Robert L. Lindsay Meritorious Service Award
Badger Region is allowed to submit up to five nominees to receive this award. If you know of anyone who has gone above and beyond to promote the sport of volleyball in the state of Wisconsin, please send their name, contact information and a short bio to Jenny Hahn no later than March 15th.
Badger Region is Looking for Arbitrators to Facilitate our Due Process
Badger Region is currently seeking three (3) individuals to serve as Arbitrators to adjudicate Ethics and Eligibility issues, grievances and policy and procedure violations. Requirements are that the individuals be fair minded, readily available via email to the Executive Director or Region Commissioner and some knowledge in the area of membership assigned. This is a volunteer position The Due Process Guidelines outline the duties of the Arbitrator as follows:
Arbitrator’s Duties
Upon receipt by the Region of a notice or complaint (formalized in writing originally or promptly after submission of an oral complaint or
notice) of an alleged violation of published behavioral codes or published team or individual eligibility codes or policies, the Commissioner (or objective designee) promptly shall forward the material or information received to the Arbitrator deemed most relevant to the matter and shall provide prompt written notice of the allegation to potentially affected parties. The Arbitrator promptly shall investigate the allegation by interviewing relevant witnesses and parties, including and especially the accused party, obtaining relevant documents, if any, and other relevant evidence and identifying relevant codes or policies. As quickly as reasonably possible, the Arbitrator shall determine what action, if any, to take. Any such decision shall be communicated as soon as possible to the affected individual, team, or club in a Decision Letter as described below and transmitted by a form of verified delivery. Such writing shall describe the decision; the evidence considered; the code, policy, or procedure deemed violated; the sanction imposed; and procedure for appeal if desired. Any decision to sanction which would affect the eligibility of a team or individual beyond the end of the current USAV season shall be a recommendation only and automatically forwarded to the relevant Ethics and Eligibility Committee Chair for consideration.
